Business Development Representative

Toronto, ON

We’re looking for a self-motivated and competitive Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team. In this position, you’ll report to the Head of Sales and will be working with multiple teams (Marketing, Product, Client Success) to contribute directly to revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume prospecting to qualify leads
  • Conduct needs qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned
  • Manage lead generation efforts on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the overall Sales team to develop and implement an appropriate prospect communication plan

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with prior sales experience looking to pursue a career in SaaS sales with a high-growth startup based in downtown Toronto.

Must Haves

  • Software Sales experience required
  • A track record of high achievement in B2B prospecting and/or selling
  • Proficiency in a CRM system (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous successful sales experience OR a strong interest in a sales career
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Naturally curious and passionate

  • A keenly developed competitive nature
  • A highly self-driven sense of motivation
  • The ability to deal with objections
  • A fanatical attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the media industry and landscape is also preferred

Bonus

  • 1- 2 years of previous B2B business development experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet or exceed quotas
