Gaming news website TechRaptor has partnered with Viafoura to launch different engagement solutions, including a new comments section with automated moderation, follow options for authors and topics, and trending conversations. These solutions will also facilitate a civil discourse between TechRaptor’s newsroom and its community.
“TechRaptor is such an important player in the gaming media space, we’re thrilled to see them launch Viafoura in ‘dark mode’ across their website,” says Dalia Vainer, director of customer experience at Viafoura. “The TechRaptor team is whip-smart, and has implemented Viafoura with almost record speed. We’re looking forward to seeing how Viafoura will improve the overall user experience through commenting and conversations to help TechRaptor gain momentum as they build and engage their audience.”
TechRaptor CEO Rutledge Daugette is equally excited about the launch.
“I put a lot of stock into partnerships vs. vendor relationships, and a company that’s willing to work with me on items I feel can help me improve my platform is a huge factor in how I make decisions,” says Daugette. “From the start, Viafoura was willing to listen to what I wanted and needed, and made adjustments for me to ensure the rollout was the right fit for both our site and our team.”

Before implementing Viafoura’s digital experience platform, TechRaptor’s previous solution didn’t provide rich audience data insights, wasn’t conducive to enabling discussions between journalists and commenters, and caused longer load times on the website. Because TechRaptor is in steady growth mode, Daugette was seeking a software partner that could create stronger ties with its user community.
“Rolling out Viafoura will give TechRaptor readers the ability to get notifications on the topics they care about and new content from authors they like,” says Daugette. “We want it to be easier for our users to hop right into the discussion, to express their thoughts, and to follow the things they care about.”
The integration process also provided TechRaptor with the opportunity to review their user experience and optimize it. Viafoura’s platform has since become a seamless part of TechRaptor’s environment. The next step is to gain rich audience data insights to better orient their content towards the preferences of their readers.
“In addition to improving the experience and ease of commenting on TechRaptor, our hope is to use the data provided by the Viafoura platform to better adjust our editorial strategy towards our readership to meet their needs for news and coverage effectively,” says Daugette. “There’s a lot of potential, and we can’t wait to really dive in.”
